About the Club
This is the official website of the University of Bristol Chess Club.
We run casual chess sessions every Saturday from 20:00 to 22:45 in the Stephenson Room on the second floor of the Richmond Building (105 Queens Road, BS8 1LN). We also have 3 teams in the Bristol & District Chess League, where we play matches of classical chess throughout the year against teams from other clubs in and around Bristol. Players of all strengths are welcome at our club and the League similarly caters to players of a wide range of strengths.
Membership
Our annual membership costs £10, which grants access to all of our Saturday sessions, the appropriate League team, and any special events we host. Our membership fee allows us to fund special events throughout the year, participate in the Bristol League, and renew chess equipment.

Directions to the Stephenson Room
After entering the Richmond Building via the main entrance on Queens Rd, turn right once in the lobby on the ground floor. Take the lift on the left to the second floor and then turn right to enter the second floor Link. There is a door in the corner on the left. The Stephenson Room is through that door and straight ahead.
